Double bass lessons are individually tailored for students of all ages, levels, and genres. Each online double bass lesson takes place between one teacher and one student for either 30 or 60 minutes. While our double bass sessions are all private, parents are more than welcome to attend their child's classes. There are no audition requirements for this program. It is assumed that participants are new to the instrument and new to reading music.

Goals:
Our goal is the development of our students to their highest musical level through private lessons. Creating the correct foundation for technique and appropriate repertoire is the utmost important thing. Beginner students will start with the fundamentals of double bass lessons, including the right way of holding the double bass, holding the bow, comfortable hand position, finger placement, reading music, and learning simple songs. Advanced and experienced students continue to progress with increased proficiency in techniques and significant repertoire from highly qualified professional teachers and performers with real-life musical experience. Our double bass curriculum covers the following subjects:
Levels / Ages offered:
The Farabius Academy of Music offers online private double bass lessons for all levels and ages for those who love the bass tone. Students in an individual study can learn with no prior experience, all the way to extensive professional experience. We provide a wide range and variety of learning styles and difficulty levels for our students to make sure each individual will grow at their own pace.
Repertoire
Selecting repertoire is one of the most challenging and important tasks that we take on in the development of our students’ musical education. You will find a rich and diverse repertoire for the bass in classical and pop music. Additionally, a ton of jazz tunes and bluegrass and country songs use the bass as one of the most important elements in the rhythm section. You will learn so much when you pick up the bass.
