Mehdi Abedini started his musical journey at the age of ten by playing the tombak. Later on, he pursued studying setar with Hossein Alizadeh, Massoud Shoari, Hamid Sokooti. He also studied Persian radif with Mahmoud Makhdoom.

He has performed in numerous international Theatres, including Toronto Centre for the Arts and Aga Khan Museum.
He has been playing as the setar soloist in various music bands with several artists in Iran and Canada. Mehdi Abedini immigrated to Canada in 2016, and he is always excited to meet new students and show them how inspirational can be!
