Ali Rostamian started learning music in his adolescence from M° Taj Esfahani and then Mahmoud Karimi. After that, he obtained superior studies in vocal with M° Mohammadreza Shajarian.
Rostamian has released several albums. His debut album "Chaharbagh" was released in 1985, featuring masters in Iranian music. His other prominent works are The story of love, Arghavan albums composed and arranged by Faramarz Payvar.
In 1999, he released "Konj-e Sabouri," featuring Aref Music Group led by Parviz Meshkatian.
His other valuable music album is a collection called Tar and Vocal in 6 albums featuring Jalil Shahnaz.
He has performed on stage in Iran, Europe, North America and the Middle East with different Iranian music groups such as Asatid Group led by Faramarz Payvar, Aref Group led by Parviz Meshkatian, Khojasteh Group led by Susan Aslani. Furthermore, his children accompanied him in several music festivals around the world. In addition, Rostamian delivered a speech on designing vocal productions and vocal performance at the 3rd Conference on "Codes of Vocal Music."
His last albums, "Hafezkhani I & II" and "Negar-e Man," were composed by him.
In March 2019, he was granted a first-grade art certificate by the Iranian Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, which is equivalent to a Ph.D. in music.
