Program Information
The Farabius Music Academy offers cello lessons for children and adults for every age, level, and genre. Our teaching staff ensure that we can provide our offering to a wide range of learning styles and differing priorities of our students. We will make sure that you’re matched with the cello teacher best suited to your skill level, personality, and goal.
Each online cello lesson takes place between one teacher and one student for either 30, 45 or 60 minutes. While our cello sessions are all private, parents are more than welcome to attend their child's classes
Goals:
Our goal is the development of our students to their highest musical level through private lessons. Creating the correct foundation for technique and appropriate repertoire is the utmost important thing. Beginner students start with the fundamentals, including the right way of holding the cello, holding the bow, comfortable hand position, finger placement, reading music, and learning simple songs. Advanced students continue to progress with increased proficiency in techniques and significant repertoire. Our cello curriculum covers the following subjects:
Levels / Ages offered:
The Farabius Academy of Music offers online private cello lessons at all levels and ages for those who love the rich tone of the cello. Students in individual study can learn with no prior experience, all the way to extensive professional experience, and we will ensure you have an enjoyable experience. We provide a wide range and variety of learning styles and difficulty levels for our students to make sure each individual can grow at their own pace.
Repertoire
Selecting repertoire is one of the most challenging and important tasks that we take on in the development of our students’ musical education. We work on the repertoire in these categories: etudes and studies, unaccompanied works, sonatas, concertos, suites, variations, etc., and short pieces. Students at all levels will be given a selection of repertoire from multiple eras of music to study and perfect.
