Program Information

Persian Vocal is a very in-demand course. This program is perfect for those who want to improve technique like Tahrir, learn how to sing Tasnif, Persian songs and Radif, and much more. Our teachers can help you achieve your goals and create a program based on your vocal range and musical interests. 

We will offer instruction to voice students of every level, every age, and every genre. Each online Persian voice lesson takes place between one teacher and one student for either 30, 45 or 60 minutes. For children's sessions, parents can attend their child's classes.

Goals:

Our goal is to develop our students to their highest musical level through private lessons. Beginner students start with the fundamentals of voice techniques, including breath control, proper posture, vocalization, simple Tahrir, reading music, and learning simple songs. Advanced and experienced students continue to progress with increased proficiency in techniques and significant Persian vocal repertoire, Radif* and Tasnif. Our voice class covers the following subjects:

• Note reading and recognition
• The technique (breath, vibration, Tahrir)
• Vocal Range
• Vocal Dynamics
• Quarter-tone relative pitch
• Memorization
• Ear training

*Radif is a collection of 300-350 melodic pieces, each up to 3 minutes long, used as a basis for improvisation.

Levels / Ages offered:

The Farabius Academy of Music provides online Iranian vocal lessons at all levels and ages. Students in a private study can learn with no prior experience all the way to extensive professional experience. We provide a wide range and variety of Persian songs and difficulty levels for our students to ensure each individual can grow at their own pace.

Repertoire

Selecting repertoire is one of the most challenging and important tasks that we take on in the development of our student's musical education. Each coach is ready to tailor-make a lesson plan for you while still following the curriculum principles that have always led to success. Students at all levels will be given a selection of repertoire from multiple eras of music (traditional, folk, pop) to study and perfect.
