Persian Violin Lessons

Do you want to play Persian Violin?
Behnoosh loves teaching students of all ages and levels. She strives to provide the best possible music education for every student. This is accomplished by providing interesting work for the student, such as learning theory, pieces, technique, sight reading, etc. She tends to explain to students as simply and as effectively as possible. Lesson plans are customized to each student based on age, previous experience, individual goals, learning style, etc.

Beginner students will start with the fundamentals, including the right way to hold the violin, correct bow hold and finger placement, reading music, rhythm, bowing techniques, and learning simple songs. Advanced and experienced students continue to progress with increased proficiency in techniques and significant repertoire. Our Persian violin class covers the following subjects:

Note reading and recognition
Counting, rhythm reading
Technique (scales, arpeggios, trill, tekiyeh)
Rudiments of Theory
Ear training

Repertoire:
Selecting repertoire is one of the most challenging and important tasks that we take on in the development of our student’s musical education. Students at all levels will be given a repertoire selection from multiple eras of music (Traditional, Folk) to study and perfect.

Each online lesson takes place between one teacher and one student for either 30, 45 or 60 minutes. For children's sessions, parents can attend their child's classes.
