At the Farabius, Roshanak offers individual lessons for Daf and Tombak.
She enjoys teaching students of all ages and levels. She strives to provide the best possible music education for every student. Her goal is to deliver high-level instruction that inspires students. Her teaching approach emphasizes the development of fundamental skills and their application to various musical pieces.
This is accomplished by providing interesting work for the student, such as learning techniques, simple rhythms, compound rhythms, sight reading, etc. Lesson plans are customized to each student based on age, previous experience, individual goals, learning style, etc.
Our goal is the development of our students to their highest musical level through private lessons. Beginner students start with the fundamentals, like holding the instrument, finger placement, reading music and playing simple rhythm. Intermediate students will get to know different Maqams in daf playing. Also, they will be asked to write some small pieces in order to deepen their knowledge and experience self-composing. Advanced Students should find their own way of performing, namely using their self-discovered techniques and expression with the ability to perform with any instrument and longer solos. Rudiments of Theory
Memorization
Each online lesson takes place between the teacher and student for either 30, 45 or 60 minutes. For children's sessions, parents can attend their child's classes.
