Understanding your musical goals is essential for tailoring your lessons effectively.
At Farabius, Milad provides individual lessons for Tar and Setar. With several years of teaching experience, he delights in guiding students of all ages and skill levels to unlock their creativity. His goal is to deliver high-level instruction that inspires students. Lesson plans integrate a logical technical progression and a repertoire that suits your music goals. He is very flexible, open to suggestions, and makes lessons about your journey rather than simply following a generic pre-planned route.
Beginner students start with the fundamentals, like holding the instrument, posture and mallet (mezrab), finger placement, reading music, technical exercises, and learning simple songs. Intermediate and advanced students continue to progress with increased proficiency in techniques, radif and significant Iranian repertoire.
Students at all levels will be given a repertoire selection from multiple eras of music (Traditional and Folk) to study and perfect.
Each online lesson takes place between the teacher and student for either 30, 45 or 60 minutes. For children's sessions, parents can attend their child's classes.
