At the Farabius, Kouhyar offers individual lessons for Tar and Setar.
He enjoys teaching students of all ages and levels. He strives to provide the best possible music education for every student. His goal is to deliver high-level instruction that inspires students, and his teaching approach emphasizes the development of fundamental skills and their application to various musical pieces.
Lesson plans are customized to each student based on age, previous experience, individual goals, learning style, etc.
All students are taught basic instrumental technique, posture, technical exercises, radif* and playing Iranian repertoire.
Beginner students start with the fundamentals, like holding the instrument and mallet (mezrab), finger placement, reading music, rhythm, and learning simple songs. Intermediate and advanced students continue to progress with increased proficiency in techniques and significant Iranian repertoire.
Each online lesson takes place between the teacher and student for either 30 or 60 minutes. For children's sessions, parents can attend their child's classes.
