Nima's journey with music began at the tender age of 6 when he picked up the Santour, guided by his father, Naser Safaei, a renowned master who nurtured Nima's talent for over 7 formative years. Drawing inspiration from luminaries such as Faramarz Payvar and Parviz Meshkatian, Nima was captivated by their innovative contributions to Santour and Persian traditional music.

In addition to his musical odyssey, Nima holds a PhD in Engineering, specializing in Artificial Intelligence, a testament to his multifaceted expertise. With over two decades of experience as a music instructor, he has adeptly imparted his knowledge to students of all levels, fostering a community of passionate musicians. Nima co-founded the Ân Trio Ensemble in 2018, a collaborative endeavor that embodies his commitment to musical exploration.

Throughout his illustrious career spanning 25 years across Iran and Canada, Nima has graced over 40 live performances with diverse bands, collectives, and expansive ensembles. His creative endeavors have been recognized and supported by prestigious institutions such as the Canada Council for the Arts and the Ontario Arts Council.

As a dedicated music teacher, Nima finds his greatest fulfillment in nurturing the potential of his students and guiding them along their artistic voyage. His profound passion for music is matched only by his unwavering dedication to empowering others on their musical journey.
