Kourosh was Born in 1971. He started violin at the young age of 12, and after a few years, he switched to the Persian instrument “Kamancheh.” As a teenager, he played in several famous traditional kinds of music ensembles. After that, he has since played many concerts all over the world and many international music festivals.
In 1994 he graduated from the Art and Architectural University
(Graphic Design) in Tehran and continued being active in this field ever since. He has been nominated for the best Persian musical instrument player at the "Musicema" festival. He has been the judge of the best music albums released in 2015 in Iran. Kourosh Babaei immigrated to Canada in 2016 and continues to teach music and perform concerts.
